Hannah Warman fell asleep in her uber and her driver took her on a 35-mile detour around London England, which ended ip costing her £85. Hannah’s apartment was a 5 minute walk away from the party, meaning that her journey should have only taken a couple of minutes but her trip actually took 90 minutes.
Hannah told the Standard that she “must’ve fallen asleep in the car. I woke up a couple of times and said ‘Why is this taking so long? I think I assumed he’d got a bit lost or something but I had no idea it’d been an hour and a half. I fell back asleep. I went straight to bed once I’d got home and I only realised what had happened the next day when I got an email receipt for my £85 Uber journey.”
Check out the email of her receipt below!

Hannah emailed Uber and demanded a refund…good news they have refunded her most the money. She is now seeking action against the driver. “I feel like they should reassure me that the driver was penalized or dismissed and explain how this could’ve happened.”
Uber spokesman said that “We are speaking to the licensed driver and the rider to establish exactly what happened and have given the rider a full refund.”
Thankfully uber sends passengers the route that the driver took, which allowed for her report this incident.
Moral of the story…don’t fall asleep in an uber.
